Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta has confessed that she bunked her first day at school, even though her mother had more to do with it than her. Lara said she was crying so much as her mother tried to leave her at school on that first day, that she promptly took her home again for a pep talk before returning the next day.

Responding to some questions from the TV channel Zoom, Lara said the movie that most inspired her was the 50s Hollywood hit Gone with the Wind, starring the debonair Clark Gable.

The animal that Lara would most like to be, if she was one, is a cat, even though everyone in the industry attests to her sweet nature and no cattiness about her at all.

And if she was not an actress, Lara would much rather have been traversing the actual universe as an astronaut.
